Digital Programming Committee

Do you have a passion for digital media and online learning? Become part of the innovative team of MWMC members who are leveraging today’s technology to create educational and enriching online content. Committee positions include:

Digital Programming Lead | Gain valuable leadership and project management experience | Conduct team meetings and report progress to MWMC Special Projects VP | Lead committee members in executing strategic plans and achieving tactical goals as assigned by the Board | Foster an opportunity to grow into a MWMC Board position

Digital Event Coordinators | Expand your digital media skills by working with guests, speakers, and panelists to produce MWMC online events | Act as MWMC host for webinars and Twitter chats

Social Media Coordinator | Improve your social media skills by generating online buzz for MWMC digital events | Work with Special Projects Chair/Co-chair to promote MWMC online events and brand within its social media communities | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines

Video Production Coordinator | Enhance your video production skills by working industry experts and thought-leaders to develop content for MWMC Member-only online videos | Assist with set up and recording of MWMC events and informational videos 

Video Production Editor | Build your portfolio by working with the Video Production Coordinator to create and edit recordings of Member-only online content, MWMC events, and informational videos | Manage video content on the MWMC website, YouTube, and Vimeo accounts

Sponsorship Coordinators | Strengthen your sales skills by getting sponsorships or donations | Assist with yearly MWMC digital programming strategy and planning | Ensure reach extends from internal to external professional women and their organizations to promote MWMC’s vision and mission

Marcom Committee

The Marcom Committee is dedicated to providing members with relevant information on all news and events. The committee is responsible for the distribution of information via writing and editing content for MWMC’s Member to Member newsletter, Web site and/or social media groups. Committee positions include:

Marcom Lead | Lead committee meetings and report back to MWMC Marketing Chair | Foster an opportunity to grow into an MWMC board position | Increase leadership skills through guiding committee on the Board’s strategic and tactical goals | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines

Newsletter Writers | Build your portfolio by writing newsletter articles for members-only newsletter | Assist editor with finding writers and developing topics and content | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines in all publications

Social Media/PR Coordinator | Improve your media relations skills by generating publicity for MWMC events | Write and distribute press releases to local media and track coverage | Work with Marketing Chair/Co-chair to promote MWMC events and brand on social media sites | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines

Web Content Editor | Enhance your picture-taking skills by shooting photos and/or video at events for posting on Web site and in the Member to Member newsletter | Assist with Web site content management and metrics | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines

Graphic Designers | Build your portfolio by creating templates for professional development events, marketing materials, etc. | Update existing MWMC templates when needed | Ensure consistency with MWMC brand and style guidelines in all design pieces

Membership Committee

Our organization's diverse membership is the key to its continued growth and success. Get involved in this area, and you can work to retain current members and recruit new ones. Plus it's a fantastic way to build your own network. Committee positions include:

Membership Assistant | Help with planning New Member Breakfast and other membership related events | Brainstorm creative options for membership marketing | Help out at events by welcoming current, new and non-members and ensure they have a positive experience | Call new members | Follow-up on leads and recruit committee members

Membership Data Analyst | Expand your market research skills and gain valuable experience by analyzing membership demographics and survey data. Make recommendations to the board of directors that will help build programing to meets member’s needs and take membership marketing to the next level.

Professional Development & Networking Committee

Excited about professional development? Event planning? Raising money and sponsorships? Networking? MWMC presents an entire year of programming that includes learning lunches, seminars, conferences, special interest groups, and more. Committee positions include:

Professional Development & Networking Lead | Manage committee meetings and report back to MWMC Professional Development VP | Foster an opportunity to grow into an MWMC Board position | Increase leadership skills through guiding committee on the Board’s strategic and tactical goals

Event Coordinators | Work with Board on tracking speakers and event metrics | Represent speaker liaison to events by providing communications to speakers on event timing, program content to marketing by deadlines, logistics, speaker needs, time, budget, calendars, etc.

Sponsorship Coordinators | Strengthen your sales skills by getting sponsorships or donations | Assist with yearly MWMC professional development brainstorming and programming | Ensure reach extends from internal to external professional women and their organizations to promote MWMC’s vision and mission.

WOMEN’S INITIATIVES COMMITTEE

Are you passionate about work/life balance and helping other women incorporate it into their own lives?  Become part of the pioneering committee of Women’s Initiatives and help develop this dynamic topic into all aspects of MWMC by helping with event coordination, volunteer opportunities and third party content.

WI Programming Lead | Gain valuable leadership and project management experience | Conduct team meetings and report progress to MWMC Women’s Initiative VP | Brainstorm ways to incorporate WI into all aspects of MWMC | Lead committee members in executing strategic plans and achieving tactical goals as assigned by the Board | Foster an opportunity to grow into an MWMC Board position

WI Community Coordinator   |   Improve your media relations skills by generating publicity for WI events | Work with WI VP to promote MWMC events on social media sites

WI Third-party Content and Website Coordinator | Enhance your content skills by posting WI related content on MWMC’s Twitter account, Facebook Page, LinkedIn Group and Website | Improve website by uploading attachments and updating the designated WI page with relevant content

WI Event Coordinator | Work with WI VP on identifying speakers and venues for brown bags and panel discussions | Assist in event coordination by providing program content to marketing by deadlines, coordinating logistics of location, date and time, and identifying speaker needs  |  Attend WI events to assist in registration and set-up  |  Gather metrics on each event and report back to WI President

WI Charity Coordinator | Help the community by identifying and executing volunteer opportunities within the Twin Cities community   |  Ensure volunteer opportunities coincide with MWMC’s belief of empowering women and making them integral to successful business
